Improve Your Run Technique

One-on-One Instruction

If you find that you don’t require the commitment of a full-time coach but still seek a second opinion or some valuable pointers to enhance your running performance, our service is perfect for you. We begin with an in-depth conversation to thoroughly understand your personal goals and specific needs. This allows us to customize a one-on-one session that is precisely tailored to address your unique running requirements. I am flexible and can meet you at a location that is most convenient for you.. Each personalized session is priced at $75, ensuring you receive focused and expert guidance without the need for a long-term commitment.

Please sign a waiver prior to your first session. You only have to do it once. It's good for any event for the rest of the year.

Note: These sessions, including the gait analysis, can be done on a track or a safe, flat area like an empty parking lot or greenway trail.

Gait Analysis

Our running style changes when we're on a treadmill compared to being outdoors. Additionally, our running differs when we're going uphill versus downhill. For just $75, an on-site gait analysis can fine-tune your running by examining various aspects, including the environment.

Detailed Report

The evaluation involves recording videos from the front, back, and side to identify potential movement dysfunctions and limitations, which are then discussed or practiced through drills during the hour-long session. Please wear your usual running attire.

After the session, you will receive a link to review and download the high-definition videos, still images, and annotations documenting your gait analysis, which captures your movement in a real-world setting.

Joel taught me more about proper running technique than all of the YouTube videos
In limited amount of time, Joel taught me more about proper running technique than all of the YouTube videos, running articles, and random tips from friends over the last 2-3 years of running. I can already tell I'm running more efficiently by using a couple "tricks" from Joel to increase my cadence and improve my foot strike. I am looking forward to incorporating more of the things I learned from his coaching and going back for more sessions.
